Top 5 Things to Do in Swansboro, NC

So, everyone no where has heard of the small town of Swansboro. It is a small town on the coast of North Carolina. Now, because so few people have heard of it, I bet you have no clue how fun it can be!

Watch the sunset and sunrise on the beach. Now, this may sound very romantic, and it is, but it can also be fun. It is also very pretty and a GREAT time to take pictures.

Visit Hammocks Beach State Park. There you can kayak, paddle board, take a Ferry to Bear Island, and walk. There are lots of little islands to explore and some have shark teeth on them.

Visit Riverfront Park. This is a wonderful park to visit and sit and think. So, if you like quite, want to sit and read, sit and think, or just want to relax this is a great place to go. Also a great place to watch the holiday Flotilla.

The annual Holiday Flotilla. This is a once a year event usually at dusk the Friday after Thanksgiving. This year it is on November 29th, 2019 all along the water fronts of Swansboro, Wrightsville Beach, Jacksonville, and Topsail at dusk. It is an evening of fun, music, food, and floats. Finally we have Municipal Park. This park has entrances on both Commerce Drive and Main Street Extension.  The park has a Recreation Center, multi-use fields, a picnic pavilion, a tennis courts, a basketball court, a skateboarding park, a playground, small picnic shelters, a .66 mile fitness/nature trail, a concessions/restrooms building, and a splash pad. Wow, that park sounds like fun!
